President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama have selected historic Jackson Park, just east of the University of Chicago, as the site for the Obama Presidential Center. A formal announcement is forthcoming. Mrs. Obama left the DNC Convention after her brilliant speech, to come home to Chicago, the next day the site was chosen. The South Side promises to prosper.
