“The Kickback” – Coachella Bops & Flops!

The most notable Coachella show is Thee Beychella, where Beyoncé herself headlined the festival and performed two different shows and meshed the footage to create her Netflix movie HOMECOMING. But that was in 2018! This year’s lineup was of course filled with Bops and Flops that we’ll go over now!

Kali Uchis put on one of the best shows of the 2-weekend event! Alongside her unexpected guests, Kali stunned the audience with a wide variety of musical options. She performed their hit songs “See You Again” and “After the Storm” with Tyler The Creator first. The texture of their music together blends seamlessly. This duo is undefeated! Omar Apollo, a fellow artist, and vocalist, was then introduced by Kali. The chemistry he has with Kali is adorable, and this cutie brought the vocals that day. They’re Bestie goals! Kali looked beautiful the entire time and reminded us of how nice it is to admire someone with a body type similar to your own. There was nothing but bops in this performance. Congrats to Kali!

Another performer who utterly outdid himself was Labrinth, a singer-songwriter and composer from the UK. When he brings out international pop star Sia for a few surprise songs from their supergroup’s album with Diplo, titled “LSD,” he immediately sets the stage for an amazing performance. But a short while later, the evening’s biggest surprise materialized. When Labrinth invited superstar singer, actor, and dancer Zendaya out as a special guest to sing their songs from the blockbuster hit show Euphoria, jaws dropped, and wigs split. It is Zendaya’s first stage performance in SEVEN years! And she killed it! All I’m going to say is some of these so-called pop stars of today should be glad she took the movie route because this one performance stepped on quite a few necks. So thank you Labrinth for giving us another Coachella Bop!
