Tenille Jackson – President/CEO, Digital Vision Enterprises

Tenille Jackson

For the better part of a decade, Tenille Jackson has dedicated herself to helping organizations find their voice online through her company, Digital Vision Enterprises, LLC. The boutique agency was built on the belief that every business, nonprofit, and community organization deserves to show up confidently in the digital space.

A graduate of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication, and a Master of Education in Organizational Development & Training, Jackson has cut her professional teeth serving in various capacities, centering around getting the people the knowledge from street team development and management to integrated marketing and beyond. Whether hosting a community event, rallying 18,000 moms around a cause, or building a custom campaign strategy for a client, Jackson prides herself on moving with purpose.

N’DIGO recently sat down with the dedicated mother and businesswoman to learn more about her journey and what motivates her to do the work she does.

N’DIGO: In your own words, who is Tenille Jackson?

Tenille Jackson: Tenille Jackson is a digital marketing strategist, community connector, and entrepreneur. But beyond the work, I’m a mother, a community builder, and someone who genuinely believes that connection changes everything. She shows up for her clients the same way she shows up for her community — fully, strategically, and with heart.

What are three words family and friends would use to describe you?

Connected. Driven. Genuine. Connected.

As a child, what did you dream you would do for a living?

I believed I was going to be a teacher like my mother.

How did you discover your desire to own and operate your own business?

My big brother started a business when I graduated from high school, and it started doing well around the time I graduated from college. I enjoyed helping him build his vision, and I grew to love the independence owning my own business could mean for me while I raised my daughter, Raegan.

Please tell us about your company, Digital Vision Enterprises, and the work that you do.

Digital Vision Enterprises, LLC is a boutique digital marketing, event production, and community outreach agency based in the Chicago metropolitan area, operating since 2016.

DVE holds an Illinois Business Enterprise Program (BEP) Certification and a Minority Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) Certification. The agency serves businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations — helping them navigate the internet with clarity and confidence. DVE’s work spans three core service pillars: Digital Marketing (social media management, content strategy, and online presence building), Event Production (concept through execution), and Community Outreach (targeted engagement strategies, especially across Chicago’s South and West Sides). Notable client relationships include Feld Entertainment — the production company behind Ringling Bros., Disney On Ice, and Monster Jam — as well as Meridian Health and YouthCare.

The biggest misconception about digital marketing you repeatedly encounter is…

That it’s just posting on social media. So many people think digital marketing means throwing up a few Facebook posts and hoping something sticks. The truth is, digital marketing is a strategy — it is understanding your audience, knowing what platforms make sense for your goals, building content that actually resonates, and measuring what works. Posting without a strategy is like handing out flyers in an empty room. My job is to make sure the room is full and the message lands.

Please also tell us about the Chicagoland Mom Squad.

The Chicagoland Mom Squad is a community network that I founded 15 years ago, and it now has more than 18,000 members. What started as a way for moms in the Chicago area to connect has grown into one of the most engaged community platforms in the region. It is a space where women support each other, share resources, discover local events, and build real relationships. The Mom Squad is more than a community for me — it is proof of what happens when you build something rooted in genuine connection. It also serves as a powerful outreach channel for the clients and causes she champions through DVE.

What brings you the greatest joy about your work?

Putting smiles on people’s faces based on the work we’ve done as an agency to bring their vision to fruition.

How does it feel to be recognized for the work you do with a Global Media Impact Award?

It is humbling and affirming at the same time. I work very hard for my clients and community, and I genuinely love what I do for a living. To have that work recognized by the Harold Washington Cultural Center is a reminder that the mission matters. Awards like this are not just personal milestones; they shine a light on the importance of community-centered work and the organizations that often go unseen. It’s a personal reminder for me personally, to keep going and keep growing.

Best advice you have been given?

Do the work, and the work will speak for you.” In an industry where everyone is competing for attention, I was taught early that consistency and quality build the kind of reputation that no algorithm can take away. I have carried that with me throughout every campaign, every client, and every community initiative.

Best advice you can give?

Show up — even when it is imperfect. Too many people wait until everything is polished and perfect before they put themselves out there. But your audience, your community, and your clients connect with the real you — not a curated version. Start where you are, be consistent, and trust that clarity comes through action, not waiting.

Favorite quote or affirmation?

She believed she could, so she did.” It is simple, but it sits at the center of everything I have built. Every business decision, every late night, every risk taken — it all starts with belief. She hopes that is also the message every woman she works with walks away with: your vision is possible.

What’s next for Tenille Jackson and Digital Vision Enterprises?

I am in a season of intentional growth. On the business side, DVE is investing heavily in systems and technology — rolling out a fully integrated CRM platform that will allow the agency to serve clients more efficiently and at a higher level than ever before. I am also focused on expanding DVE’s client roster and deepening relationships with organizations that are doing meaningful work in underserved communities.

For the Chicagoland Mom Squad, growth and partnerships are on the horizon — finding new ways to bring resources, visibility, and opportunity to a community that has been showing up for over 15 years. And personally, I have my eye on a larger platform — more speaking, more training, and finding ways to teach other small businesses and community organizations how to own their digital presence with confidence. The vision has never been clearer.
