The argument and battle between Elon Musk and President Donald Trump is inevitable. As a pundit, I predicted that the disagreement between the two alpha males would arise within six months. All the pundits and politicos anticipate their parting of ways. The two men are quite opposite.
I am reading Elon’s biography, and it is clear that he is a dark genius. His genius relies on innovative inventions that stem from tinkering, trial, and error. His behavior and lifestyle exist in extremes as he navigates the world. He desperately wants to live in a multi-planet world; Mars is his destination, and he dedicates his energy to being the first to reach Mars using government funds for his space endeavors.
Meanwhile, there is the electric car, Tesla, which has transformed the auto industry. He becomes extremely focused on his projects, working day and night to the point of exhaustion, sleeping only long enough to start all over again. Often he slept on the office floor or in his factory. His drug of choice is “ketamine,” which is an anesthetic for surgery and a treatment for depression. It has hallucinogenic properties and can cause a loss of short-term memory. Elon could overdose on such a drug.
Elon is interested in significant societal cultural changes, such as exploring Mars, harnessing solar energy, creating robots, developing technology platforms, and promoting electric cars. Elon has difficulty experiencing joy in his life. Celebrating is difficult for him. His father raised him with a severe darkness, from which he has never escaped. Joy is a foreign concept to him. Happiness eludes him. He has a one-track mind.
He questions the structure of government and bureaucracies. He is unfit for a government position. The concept of government takes him out of his comfort zone. He wants no controls, and he likes the minds of engineers for the purposes of invention. He opposes the high-luxury lifestyle associated with Trumpism. Through his inventions, Elon may generate vast fortunes, but he might also lose them, as he is a risk-taker who fully commits to his business ventures.

The President, in contrast, is quite different from Elon. He approaches everything transactionally, focusing solely on the bottom line with luxurious and boosting ideas. He is ready and willing to challenge and defy the law to achieve his goals. He will sacrifice people. He revels in the spectacle of daily press conferences with his cabinet, eagerly anticipating what he considers brilliant transactions. Trump has transformed the government into his personal business. He views the world through a racist and sexist lens. It is all the world of Trump, where he establishes the moral code. He is also not a government thinker where processes and procedures rule. He is dogmatic in his style, choosing to eliminate those who disagree with him and seeking revenge on his opponents. This is an oligarchy in America. He and Elon are bound to clash.
The Wealthy Clash…
So, here we are with the most powerful and the richest at odds. They could destroy each other, and we, the people, become pawns as the government shifts with twists and turns unknown to America with simularities to Hitler’s Nazi Germany. There is a consequential difference between the two men. Donald Trump was elected President of the United States in 2024. Elon says there would be no President Trump without his $224 million fortune. But the American government is not for sale; the safeguards are still in place.
On the other hand, Elon thinks he can become destructive with Frankenstein technology tactics. His technology can shut down systems necessary to run societies. Will he or won’t he? However, Elon was not elected to anything; he was appointed exclusively by Trump.
So, where do we land with the insanity? The powerhouse men will harm each other with personal secrets and revelations, and Elon might be forced out of America because, in reality, Elon is an immigrant who has risen and fallen out of favor in a foreign land.
Meanwhile, America might face another topsy-turvy situation. What if Elon’s dollars went to Democrats in the upcoming elections? He could turn the tide of American politics.
America is ready for a third party. We the People.
