The best performance at the Hyde Park Jazz Festival was Dee Alexander with Dwight Trible.

It was one of the most historical weekends in America with the opening of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC. History was being made in Chicago too. The tenth anniversary of the Hyde Park Jazz Festival brought out thousands to visit 11 stages on a beautiful weekend in Chicago. One of the highlights of the festival was Dee Alexander and her special guest, Dwight Trible. They audience reached over a 1,000 people as Dee and Dwight filled the warm fall night with the magic of their voices. This free two jazz festival was a celebration of the soul, the celebration of a true African American art form, history and culture.
