Wisconsin: Destination for All Seasons

While everyone these days is concerned about money and going on "staycations" instead of vacations this summer, we have a secret for you: You can still get away to another world without breaking the bank or booking a flight.

That's right--the wonderful world of Wisconsin awaits you.

The major cities (Milwaukee, Madison, Racine and Kenosha) have all the charm of The Windy City, with half the crowds, traffic ... and expense!

There's plenty to do, whatever your preferred activity. If you're the adventurous type, go skydiving at the Skydive Green Bay Center. If you're the artsy type, experience one of the nation's most comprehensive collections of North American crafts at the Racine Art Museum. Or see Milwaukee's Santiago Calatrava-designed Art Museum.

Do you like to shop? Well, there are not one but two major outlet malls Prime Outlet on I-94, just across the Illinois/Wisconsin border (stop there on your way to and from Wisconsin) and Johnson Creek (between Madison and Milwaukee).

Yes, there's also a theater and major league sporting events. And for those of you who like the finer things in life like wine, cheese and white tablecloths, visit the Cedar Creek Winery (one of Donna Hodge's, our N'Dulge editor, personal favorites).

You get the point: There's more than enough to do and see in Wisconsin. Hurry there before the winter catches you. But then again, you can always go snow tubing or cross-country skiing.

Wisconsin. It's a win-win travel destination.
