Let the good times roll!
Bigger, better and funnier only describes the surface of Think Like A Man Too. While the original film, Think Like A Man based off of Steve Harvey’s bestseller book ‘Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man’, set the foundation and tone for sixnrelationships on six different levels, Think Like A Man Too manages to smartly elevate each character and their individual story lines. Producer Will Packer rallied the full gang and took the playing field to Las Vegas where anything dramatic, wild, and crazy is bound to happen. And that’s to say the least.
Michael (Terrence J) and Candace (Regina Hall) are getting married and once the two crews- fellas and the ladies- touch the Vegas canvas, they split for a night of everything the party city has to offer. Cedric (Kevin Hart) decides to throw Michael an unforgettable, lavish bachelor’s party where everything and then some has the possibility to travel from good idea or completely tank. On top of Cedric’s marital problems, the one event that was supposed to be focused on someone other than him, he manages to make it all about him.
Meanwhile, the ladies have a few tricks up their sleeves for Candace’s last night before tying the knot. That is, of course, if Ms. Loretta (Michael’s intrusive mother) finds some business of her own. But no matter what, Lauren (Taraji P. Henson) will make sure that Candace gets through the list of spontaneous to-do’s she has planned for the girls.
There’s high stakes and high challenges throughout the film – all in which connects to a universal sotry of communication and compromise. From career-driven advances and decisions to becoming parents and even, understanding the love and bond shared within relationships and friendships, each character developed in the Think Like A Man sequel. There was purpose and reasoning for every cast member to be a part of the ensemble and weaving Vegas into the plot line worked on many levels.
You’ll laugh, be entertained, shake your head, and some even shed a few tears. But most importantly, you will have a good time during it all.
