About She’s In Color
The She’s In Color women’s empowerment campaign emphasizes the dynamic aspects of every woman through her story. Created by Aaja Corinne, founder of Aaja Corinne The Brand—a fashion styling and image development consultancy—this movement fosters a community of strength and perseverance and encourages women to inspire through sharing, influence by doing good and impact by paying it forward. The campaign also dispels the negative images of women in media today by replacing them with positive, impactful and productive displays of women.

She’s In Color will takeover N’DIGO’s fashion segment highlighting four individual, yet equally beautiful women sharing their stories and putting their best poses forward!

Words from the Visionary & Creator of She’s In Color, Aaja Corinne -

“I created She’s In Color Women’s Empowerment Campaign in response to the negative images and stereotypes of women in media as well as the lack of female role models in our communities. I wanted to use fashion and related mediums as a platform to restore the idea of women of substance in modern day society. I believe that women are the backbone of society, but I don’t feel as though we as a whole are in position to fulfill our purpose. She’s in Color was designed as a call for women of all ages, nationalities and different walks of life to embrace their individuality and purpose. I believe that if more women were comfortable with who they are, we would be a more unified sisterhood, and this would lead to positive changes in the community. She’s In Color combats the false realities portrayed in the media by highlighting real women with real stories in an effort to inspire others to be their best self.”

First up, we introduce you to: Natalie King : The Dreamer & Scientist

I love being able to express myself creatively in my dress and my attitude but still be taken seriously because of what I have accomplished and still have yet to accomplish. As a young woman of color and a scientist, my work in the area of depression is really impactful because what I do daily adds to the larger body of knowledge and helps with future treatments for psychiatric disorders affecting people all over the world, including people of color. I hope I inspire women to not just achieve academically but also have a social conscience. Volunteering and giving back in whatever way appropriate for you, at any stage in life, is always a step in the right direction.
