Saturday: Family Fun Fest Featuring Aniba Hotep & The Sol Collective

Get familiar. If you’ve never experienced Aniba Hotep & the Sol Collective (above), don’t miss your chance to do so this Saturday during the Southeast Chicago Chamber of Commerce’s “Family Fun Fest” rocking out on 87th and Anthony Ave. Chicago native and popular comedian Lil’ Rel will serve as host of the family-filled event that offers food and vendors, line dancing, jazzercise, zumba, and so much more! The party begins at 10 am and doesn’t stop until 6pm.

A soul foundation with a fusion of jazz and blues and you have the vibe of Chicago-bred Aniba Hotep & The Sol Collection. Their style is all their own and though, lead singer Aniba Hotep’s name means ” Messenger of Peace” it’s an aura that sets the stage for the entire 8-piece band. From original cuts to covers that get everyone moving and relating in some way,  the group’s on-stage presence is vocally vibrant and energetic.

Enchantment feat. Jobie Thomas

Bringing that true R&B feel, Enchantment featuring Jobie Thomas come coordinated with steps and vocals that take you back to lyrical romance. The fellas are smooth and have been bringing forth soulful ballads for 35 years and continue to captivate audiences.

Local Artist Alert!  It’s always good to mix the seasoned with the newbies. That’s one thing you have to love about Chi-town festivals, love is shown and opportunities are given for fresh artist to do their thing.

Husband & Wife music duo, Caleb and Andriea Ishman emerged with a 7- city promotional tour dubbed “Pineapple Tour Days ” and are currently working to release their first album “Pineapple Tuesday.”  The couple offers blended melodies ranging from soul, gospel and jazz that complement the others range giving a relaxed vibe with dope messages. And they’ve been putting in work! With singles landing in films and on radio stations stretching from the U.S. to the U.K, magazine features with Ebony Magazine’s Power 100 ranked Parenting and Relationships site BlackAndMarriedWithKids.com, and headliner performances.
