Production Company, MVC Management Productions,  under the direction of CEO Tai Chunn (http://www.mvcproductions.net/), successfully produced a memorable Mercedes Benz Fashion Week show for Nina Skarra on Saturday September 8th 2012 at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall. The event drew big name celebrities such as Angela Simmons, Lil Kim, Alex McCord of The Real Housewives of NY, India De Beaufort of One Tree Hill and Jane by Design, Celebrity Stylist June Ambrose, William Beatty of The NY Giants and many more.

One year ago, CEO of MVC Management Productions, Tai Chunn, recognized a lack of Scandinavian designers within the US fashion industry.  He worked closely with American, Norwegian based, fashion representative, Fumi Desalu-Vold ofFumi’s Fashion Files to carefully hand pick Skarra from a selection of Norwegian designers. Upon deciding, Chunn then presented Nina Skarra and her designs to IMG in order to feature Nina Skarra’s sustainable fashion line in this season’s Fashion Week and to bridge the Scandinavian/US design gap.

As an event of firsts, it was also a landmark event for Mercedes Benz Fashion week as it was the first time in the history of NYC Fashion Week that a show has been produced by an all African American production team.

Tai Chunn has produced several star studded fashion show events such as EMERGE! A Runway Fashion Show for two years, February being the most memorable as the event honored Vogue Contributing Editor Andre Leon Talley with the Award presented by famed designer Diane Von Furstenberg and the evening hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross  along with events such as BET’s Rip the Runway and community outreach events such as his Kids R People Too! show.
