Campaign created by A.J. Linton
Powered by A.J. Linton, Ashley Snow & Toi Talese
Don’t Kill My Chance, was birthed by Brand Consultant, Arika “A.J.” Linton as a result of the horrific violence occurring in the world. One that specifically stood out to her was the recent murder of 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton, who was innocently shot to death in broad day light at a Chicago Park.
With the tag line: “Don’t Kill My Chance because you have nothing to live for…I am the next…”, the creation evolved into a photo campaign similar to 2008′s “No H8″.
Partnering with N’DIGO’s Associate Editor LaToya “Toi Talese” Cross and professional model and motivational speaker Ashley Snow to assist with creative and artistic direction and development, the purpose of the ‘Don’t Kill My Chance’ campaign is to visually emphasize the pains of the city as it relates to senseless violence and the loss of youth.
The campaign includes Chicago personalities and highlight everyday youth and teens to bring forth further awareness of the lives that are being taken so prematurely. The idea to use the face of children is prominent because they are the ones most affected by these murders. The selected photographic shots will read “Don’t Kill My Chance” and show both eyes and ears covered to represent “Hear No Evil, See No Evil”.
