The Chicago Sinfonietta Board of Directors and the 25th Anniversary Ball Committee, including Committee Co-Chairs Sandra Rand and Maria Green will host its 25th Anniversary UnMasked Ball at the Fairmont Chicago, 200 North Columbus Drive on Saturday, June 2, at 6 p.m. The event will raise money to support the Chicago Sinfonietta’s educational outreach programs and the upcoming 25th Anniversary concert season. Illinois Tool Works is the evening’s Lead Sponsor.
The black-tie masked Ball, co-chaired by Civic Leader Sandra Rand and Maria Green, V.P., General Counsel & Secretary of Illinois Tool Works, begins with a cocktail reception and an array of one-of-a-kind masks from the productions of other Chicago arts organizations (including Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, National Museum of Mexican Art, Red Moon Theater, Chicago Dramatists, Muntu Dance, and more). Entertainment for the evening will feature a full performance of the Chicago Sinfonietta under the baton of Maestro Mei-Ann Chen.
Chicago’s own star youth percussionists, Eric Goldberg and Shuya Gong, will join the orchestra as featured soloists.
Maestro Chen has invited the Larry Bowen Ensemble for a special after-party performance and dancing.
The evening continues with a lavish gourmet dinner prepared by Fairmont Chicago Executive Chef Brad Parsons. Dinner will be followed by a spirited live auction featuring a Men’s Premium Sports package with tickets to every major sports team in the city, a Women’s Premium Package including thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and gift certificates, and much more. We will also have a raffle drawing for a grand prize of $10,000 cash, and a paddle auction raising funds specifically for the Chicago Sinfonietta’s education programs.
