“ASPiRE” is Magic Johnson’s new network distributed via Comcast, FAVE TV and Time Warner Cable. The 24-hour basic cable television networks targets African American viewers with uplifting images and shows, inclusive of the arts, faith-based programming, comedy, film and much more. ASPiRE is a vehicle to showcase positive images of African Americans with stories written, produced and directed by Blacks.

With the mantra, ‘Difference Starts Now’ Magic Johnson’s ASPiRE TV programming is well in swing and Chicagoan, Deanna Kimberly Burrell, author of Single Girl Summer, is currently featured in the on-air and online vignette series.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
