The C.H.A.M.P. Community Project will host its First Celebrity Pro Am Golf Outing on Wednesday, May 28th, 2014 at Old Orchard Country Club in Mt. Prospect, IL. The proceeds from the event will support the mental and emotional education programs, namely The C.H.A.M.P. Within Program, for at-risk teens living in the single parent household.

The festivities will begin at 11:30 AM with a shotgun start. Participants will have a chance to mix and mingle with former pro-athletes and local celebrities. Special items will also be auctioned off with proceeds going to The C.H.A.M.P. Community Project. Guests will enjoy 18 holes of golf, with cart and green fees included.  Lunch, cocktails, photo opps with the celebrities, raffles, and a silent auction will also be offered.

Celebrity participants include Eddie Arroyo (Chief Steward at Arlington Racecourse), Bob Avellini (Bears), Ronnie Bull (Bears), Bill Campbell (MLB), Robin Earl (Bears), Ike Hill (Bears), Gene Hiser (White Sox) and many more athletes; as well as the announcer from the Chicago Bulls organization.

Traci S. Campbell, President and Founder of The C.H.A.M.P. Community Project, added, “It’s a tough job for any single parent to make ends meet and put food on the table. Added to that is the pressure to be the best mother and/or father to their kids. I watched my own parent struggle with this and it is a daunting task to do alone. C.H.A.M.P. stands for Character, Happiness, Attitude, Mentality and Purpose — this educational program was created to use these traits to truly help build a strong POSITIVE mental and emotional foundation for BOTH the parent and the child and give them the support they often lack.”
