Written by filmmaker, Shequeta L. Smith, Rayven Choi tells the gripping story of an African-American girl who is orphaned and sent to South Korea in order to preserve her safety. For 20 years, Rayven has had to deal with the nightmares of the hitman who murdered her parents right in front of her and constant fear for her own life. Finally, ready to face her fears, she returns to America fully intent on executing revenge on the hitman who robbed her of her family and a happy childhood.

Rayven Choi is Smith’s debut novel.
